In the late summer / fall, the natives have their food fishery happening.
Fresh sockeye salmon, gutted, as low as 1 dollar per pound. Yummy...

The farmers market is a pretty good one, the market association vets
each vendor to ensure they're complying with organic standards, the
food is fresh, and it's less expensive than the non-organic stuff you
buy in the stores, especially if you haggle hard.
